During full-time parental leave, attendance at a day care or other childcare facilities should remain the exception.
At most, the CAE authorises attendance for a few hours a week, e.g. to help the child acclimate, to avoid relinquishing the day care slot completely or to maintain social contacts. The CAE must be notified in written form in advance of any such attendance.
During part-time parental leave, the child may attend a childcare facility during the working hours of the parent on parental leave.
Failure to comply with this provision may result in the obligation to reimburse the total amount of the parental leave allowance already received.
