Since the introduction of the EESSI (Electronic Exchange of Social Security Information) system at the beginning of 2022, the use of the E411 form is no longer permitted and this form is no longer accepted by the Portuguese Social Security Institutes.
The amounts collected in Portugal are requested directly by the CAE from the various competent Institutes (ISS - Instituto da Segurança Social) without any intervention on the part of the insured being required.
Since the exchange of information takes place directly between the concerning institutes, there is no longer any need to request an E411 form from the CAE to be completed by the Portuguese Institues.
